Cant download game i have disc for ps4

@devianttea: I'm not sure why Sony made it this way, but you have to delete the disc version and download the digital version. I've done this with both Destiny games and a few others. Until you delete the disc version (even though both games are the same), it will require the disc to be inserted. I'm led to understand all PS4 games download the full game to the hard-drive as part of the install but the dvd has to be in the machine because it basically acts as the verification of ownership (otherwise there'd be little to stop you installing it and passing it on to a friend who does the same thing). 1. Draconian Game won't download on PS4 from disc. Just bought the legendary edition disc for PS4, brand new from store, put it in and it won't download. The screen goes to the title and says Pre-Release Beta. I have a PSN and Plus account. Don't know how .

Go to the Settings menu from your PS4 home screen. Scroll down to the 'Storage'. Select 'System Storage', then 'Applications'. Press the 'Options' button, then choose 'Move to Extended Storage'. Choose which games and apps you want to move by ticking the boxes that appear next to their names. With it copying the game to HDD in the background, it's possible they can allow you to tie the game to your PSN account, or your PS4 itself. If not, then whatever, just have to have the disc in. I've been wondering about that answer too, cuz if you can't tie it in, and would need to put the disc in, I'd prolly just buy the game digitally. No, as the disc drive gets shut down in rest mode, so the console will stop installing from disc. But if you start the installation, which starts automatically downloading patches from the internet, those will get downloaded while you are in rest mode. 1. More posts from the PS4 community. k.

The error you are seeing is one that pops up on the PS4 from time to time, it can be due to a number of things. If playing on a disc the first thing to do is check the disc for any scratches or smudges, I fixed the issue with one of my games a while back simply by giving the disc a wipe. 4. Restart your PS4. Now try installing the game again. If it still does not work, disconnect the PS4 from the internet, uninstall the game again, clear the cache again, and try installing the game with your internet connection still off. Sometimes it may take a few minutes for the game to realise that it has actually installed everything. @devianttea: I'm not sure why Sony made it this way, but you have to delete the disc version and download the digital version.
